Post Here's another cheapo trick, in case you didn't already know *SPOILER*

If you have the bonus "pre-order" cd installed, you should buy a weapon called Spear of Kuldahar +3.

The reason is that this spear states that it gives a +8 to max health when equiped, BUT it also addes 8 points to your currect health as well.

Now, here comes the kicker...when you take off the spear, your max health will return to normal but you get to keep the 8 points of current health that you've gained.

So you can pause the game when you're hurt, and then repeated equip and then unequip the spear to infinite-heal yourself at no cost.

You can even pass it around in pause to heal other members of the group.

Of course this only works on characters that can use the spear. But, since most melee classes can use the spear, and those are usually the ones that take damage, that isn't a big problem.

Nice find... they had the exact same problem with a couple of items in Icewind Dale. Hopefully they will have a patch out for Baldur's Gate II soon. I'm starting to see a few more quirks here and there.

But, if you've already won the game, tricks like the one you describe can make the game interesting the next time through.

Watch out for equipment that does the opposite.

In Icewind Dale i had some form of armor that drained your hit points at the expense of AC, if you remove it several times and then put it back on instantly afterwards it will eventually kill your character.
