| | Hey fella, mind if I borrow your post? There are so many Jaheira posts already, I'd feel ashamed starting another one.
Anyhow, I've got a similar problem; basically, Jaheira's romance seems to have stopped. I'll try to offer as much information as possible, but I'm no expert with this global variable stuff.
The romance has gone along just fine so far, but now that I've emerged from the Underdark, it's pretty stagnant. I've heard mixed replies when asking whether or not the romance is meant to continue through chapters four and five, so I'm still unclear on that. Mine was at a stand-still all through the Underdark. The last thing I remember, as far as the romance is concerned, was meeting Reviane, and nearly having a confrontation with her. There might have been a few dialogues beyond that. Dermin hasn't shown up yet. My LoveTalk rating is currently at 40. I've tried resting outside, resting inside, wandering around, etc. I've also tried using the console to force the next dialogue, to no avail. Jaheira hasn't ever died, been petrified, or left the party (other than leaving for the Harper hold). So, I've got two questions:
1) Is there a console command that will basically just let me determine whether or not the romance is still active? I know about LoveTalk and JaheiraRomance already. I just need to know if it's still going strong, or if something has interrupted it.
2) I have Kevin Dorner's bugfix patch, which addresses a certain problem with Harpers showing up just as you exit the Underdark, and forcing Elhan to wipe you out. How exactly does the patch fix this? Does it put the romance script back on track, or does it terminate it altogether so as not to end the game when Harpers appear?
If anyone's got any suggestions, I'm open to just about anything. This is my third time playing through the game, and I've never had any problems with Jaheira thus far. In fact, I was hoping to use this game to import into ToB, and the romance is very important to me. I'd like to continue it. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help me out.

| | @ Idiyen: If Jaheira dies or gets imprisoned or petrified before the conclusion of her romance, her romance is over. I know of no fix other than re-loading if this happens, because at least one global gets set that causes problems.
@ TheHellion: Jaheira's romance stops in chapters 4, 5, and 7. It does continue in Chapter 6, but I've read enough posts to convince me that to avoid problems with the combined Jaheira Romance and Harper Plot, you need to have encountered Dermin for the last time before heading to Spellhold.
The console command to check the status of her romance is:
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("JaheiraRomanceActive","GLOB AL")
There's more to forcing the next dialogue with Jaheira than just entering the console code, refer here.
Check here for details on what can go wrong with the romance.

| | @ Sojourner: What should I be looking for when I enter the JaheiraRomanceActive command? I tried it, and came up with a 1. Not sure what that means, but I hope it's good news.
As far as I can tell, there shouldn't be anything wrong. When the incident with Phaere came up, I told her I was limp, and Jaheira commented that she was grateful the drow didn't get her claws into me. Also, if I try to dump her from my party, she becomes upset, and says something about the incident with the Harpers coloring my view of her. When I allow her to stay, she says something about making haste to Harper hold in Athkatla... which is quite confusing, since I've already done the whole thing with Galvarey. Just for sh!ts and giggles, I paid a visit, and as I suspected, the place was abandoned.
Just for good measure, perhaps I could get you to double-check me on a few things; to force the next dialogue, the console command is:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("JaheiraRomance","GLOBAL",1)
Right? I've tried doing that, and then resting at my cabin in the Umar Hills (not inside). Nothing happens.
If what you say is true, and finishing the romance after emerging from the Underdark does indeed screw it up completely, I'm going to be one very unhappy camper. I've got this play-through worked out to a science, and I've done every single possible quest in the game. I suppose if all else fails, I can restart, and use Shadow Keeper to beef up my party and ignore all side quests. But that's an unpleasantry I'd very much rather avoid. Ah well, thanks for the effort regardless.

| | Possible values for JaheiraRomanceActive:
0 = no romance
1 = romance in early stages
2 = romance going strong
3 = romance is over
I'm not sure what Kevin Dorner's patch does. I need to know some things, just bear with me. First of all, what happened on Dermin's last appearance?
What are the values of the following? - LOVETALK
- DerminSpawn
- TerminselSpawn
- ReturnToHarpers
- HarperFight
- JaheiraTraitor
- JaheiraNotHarper
- JaheiraHarperPlot

| | I'm sorry to say that I was unable to find most of those globals. Initially I was going by Shadow Keeper, but even in the game, it said that certain ones didn't exist. Here was the syntax I used for all of them, with DerminSpawn being the example:
CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("DerminSpawn","GLOBAL")
Let me know if that's the wrong syntax. Here's what Shadow Keeper did have listed: - LoveTalk = 40
- JaheiraBanditPlot = 9
- JaheiraCursed = 10
- JaheiraHarperPlot = 3
- JaheiraMatch = 1
- JaheiraReleased = 1
- JaheiraReturn = 2604295
- JaheiraReturns = 2
- JaheiraRomance = 1
- JaheiraRomanceActive = 1
- JaheiraTraitor = 1
As far as Dermin is concerned, he hasn't shown up yet at all. One thing that Kevin's patch does is halve the time between romance dialogues, but even then, I had completed every side quest and headed off for Brynnlaw before the romance was even half-way over. Dermin has yet to make his first appearance.
By manipulating the variables, you'd think there'd be some way to simply rebuild the romance up to any given point. I'd imagine the problem is that there just aren't enough people that fully grasp how it's done, myself included. To your credit, you seem to be more knowledgable than most, and I really appreciate your taking the time to help me out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I don't have to ditch my game after all. For whatever reason, using GetGlobal on DerminSpawn came up with nothing, but I could use SetGlobal. Here's what I did:
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DerminSpawn","GLOBAL",1)
CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("DerminAppear","GLOBAL",1)
Voila! Dermin appeared, and I got my romance back on track. Many thanks to Sojourner for the effort, and especially Manveru, who dropped me an e-mail with that eloquent solution.
