Golden Girdle and Item Upgrade Problems

Yet more questions I'm afraid Firstly, is there any way of getting the knight quest in the planar sphere (and thus the Golden Girdle), without being a mage? At the moment, they just leave when I tell them we're back in Faerun.
Also, I installed the ToB patch after installing Item Upgrade, and all the new item descriptions have disappeared. It hasn't affected their use, but I'd quite like to know what they do... will reinstalling Item Upgrade delete the items I've already made?

I think you wont lose any items by reinstalling the mod, but if you uninstall the mod the game is likely to crash (you will have items with you the game no longer recognises). As for the knight quest. I think you will have to install the multiple strongholds part of the ease of use mod. That should help you.

In answer to your first question, no you have to be a mage to send them home, BUT the nice peaople over at the Pocket Plane Group haver made a mod which allows you to send them home regardless of class.

Secondly, I agree with Aule, you should use the Weidu program to uninstall and then re-install your mod, but as long as you don't start up the game without the mod on it shouldn't be a problem. That said, I would suggest you make a second save in which you've used shadow keeper to remove all new items and if there is a problem simply load this save and use SK to give yourself these items.

Brill, thanks, I've reinstalled the mod with no ill effects. I'll leave the multiple strongholds to another game though. Is this one reliable? I downloaded one before but it didn't give me the druid stronghold.
