| | Falied To Mention (slight spoiler) Hello,
I was playing my game the other day & I have gotten to the Drow City; meet w/ Sola & am ready to go save Pheare, but No One had mentioned that waiting outside the City Gates would be an Ambush of 6 strong NPCs. I had to reload twice before I could get thru them, but also lost Minsic the last time.
When I went to REST outside of the Gates a BELL ring & my Drow Illusion vanished. What is up w/ that? Do I have to go back into the city everytime I need to Rest? |

| | In Ust Natha, all the quests you get are timed, which means you must do it as soon as possible. The first one to rescue Phaere has to be done in a couple of hours max, so if you rested, too much time has passed and your disguise has been revealed because of it.
Now, your best bet would be to reload before you fought the group outside the gates (hoping you still have a save), and either run without attacking them, so you can kill them later, or buff as much as possible before the fight to sustain less damage, and be ready to continue to Phaere right after it.
The party you encounter can be dangerous depending on your level, but if you got to the Underdark, you should be able to deal with them...
Good luck

| | | When, they say immediately, go there ASAP, you usually have one hour (gametime) to get there I think. I suggest you do the quests as fast as possible, and after a specific quest, they'll give you 3 days so you can explore and do minor quests then.

| | | INtroduction First of all, Hi every1, just registered. I'm from Spain, so forgive me for any errors in my english.
Second, this fight with the 6 NPCs outside the drow city is pretty easy. Just cast Swarm of Insects (or something like that, my BG II is in spanish ) and they'll start running away like chikens so u just have to hunt them down.
I think this spell is the best one ever. It's so funny watching poor wizards/sorcerers trying to cast anything with a cloud of wasps playing with his head.

| | Actually, swarm of insects is a one person target spell... it may be translated that way in spanish, but its insect plague you are thinking of... then again maybe a translation problem. o well. and welcome to the forums .

| | | erm.. Yep, that's it. Tranlation problem. Thx.
Only dragons, liches and Irenicus don't get affected by this spell, and it's always highly efficient agains groups of NPC ambushing one's group. Even if it doesn't affect all of the enemies, it always reduces the amount of active aggresors.

what's so great about casting this spell is try casting on a friendly, like valygar, and under haste, run him up to some enemies, and run back...the enemies get infected by a swarm, and after you give them some time to be all infected, move in and kill the mages...
