Post Everything is quite killable.

Why do I keep finding posts which include elaborate methods for killing monsters in BGII.
Everthing is quite easy to kill using simple tactics, ok so sometimes you need a little care and thought, but none of it requires drastic measures, except for charachters who you aren't supposed to kill like Garth.

For instance the Golden Lich, it's obvious after a few times that you need freedom spells.

The first time I played the game nothing killed me more than a couple of times, all you have to do is figure out the monsters attack patterns and counter them, it's all there for you already.

Maybe ToB will be a little tougher.

Cool

Do you mean you defeated Firkraag after a few reloads? It took me an hour and a half.

I don't know you, but I can already tell that I probably don't like you.

You'd need a helluva lot of Freedom scrolls to beat Kangaxx, considering that he can Imprison you every round. If he nails your PC with it, it's game over. And regardless, I don't consider using a Protection From Magic scroll all that elaborate. So, I guess what I'm saying is that you're full of sh!t.

Dude your an idiot this isn't frieking Star Trek the game will not learn your tactics and counteract your moves. You want it to be so difficult you can't win? The game is ment to be won of course it's not going to be overly difficult. I think the programmers did a great job with the fighting. I would have to have to sit for 6 hours trying to fight a lich.

LOL! So, all you need is freedom scrolls?!? To beat Kangaxx?!? Yeah, you'd need a boatload of 'em. And just where do you find a boatload of 9th level spell scrolls? If that's how you defeated Kangaxx, I'd say you aren't being too strategic, realistic, efficient, or bright. Good luck!

*chuckles* freedom scrolls.

Hmm, the description for this forum states:

Perhaps that's why?

Without being too rude, you're the most idiotic/stupidest/turnip i've ever "seen".

why didn't you add that:

And when fighting firkraag, after first time, it's obvious you only need protection from magic and 100% fire resistance + some good weapons/armour and spells (moron)

why didn't you add that to kill beholders, just get the balduran shield/cloak of reflection?

Besides being plain stupid, did you have to shout out the obvious?

what dificulty level did you play on? I have been playing this game for a while now and yeah, some things are pretty obvious..like Cast Negative plane protection against vampires.....but I olny learned that the hard way after 2 vampires took out my whole *&^))^ party!!! So how exactly do you "figure out the monsters attack patterns" without getting your butt whacked a few times? any way, I think the game has a good degree of challenge...my own opinion of corse...

well, aren't we just full of ourselves?
Jeez, I must be a complete idiot cuz I restore all the time. but I also restore if one of my characters get killed cuz I'd rather kill monsters without having to revive my guys at the end of the battle.

haven't you any cleric? There is no vampires above level 9! With what level had your nose poked into their lair? In Chapter 2 there is only one considerable of them besides Bodhi if your level is high enough for Jahera to have fire elemental spell. Of course, if you're great hero and try done all the lair at once ... one haste makes another haste

I had to respond to this thread because I don't think that it has been emphasized just enough how dumb Rgiskard is. I find it hard to believe that he has actually ever played the game of BGII. My theory is that he doesn't even have the game and he is posting for the heck of it. Ex: "For instance the Golden Lich, it's obvious after a few times that you need freedom spells."

Oh dear, it sounds like you're getting a bit bitter because you found this game too hard.

But there are on this very forum, people rejoicing in their method for killing certain monsters in the game, some listing all items, spells, actions and even NPCs required to fell the beast. That is what my original post was targeting, not your own personal methods for winning, please go ahead and enjoy the game any way you want to.

Yes using the protection from magic scroll was a good idea, (I guess you noticed that magic was being used against you and decided to counter it with the said scroll) better than my freedom scrolls in fact (perhaps a little too specific, but still effective), I'm sure there are plenty of other ways to kill the golden Lich too, do you see my point yet.

I didn't say this game was too easy, I just maintain that it only takes a couple of reloads to asses the attacks and defenses needed to defeat the more powerful opponent. A boatload of freedom spells are available in the game, so is the money to buy them and Firkraag 'can' be beaten with nothing but swords & arrows.

Sorry if all this upsets you, I was surprised to find such an offensive response to my original post, quite obviously I am dealing with children here.

Seems to me your post doesn't serve any constructive purpose except to insult people. And you actually bother to check in to the responses, and wonder why you're drawing fire.

Go post somewhere else. This thread belongs in SYM if anywhere.
