Encounter with Habib Khalid... something something

I encountered this guy in the docks district at night and he sad some humerous words and proceeded to throw his scimitar at me. Afterwards it auto equipped his scimitar and I can't remove it. I had 4 weapons equipped at the time. I tried resting and that didn't do anything. Whenever I click my weapons it says magical weapon equipped and I can't remove them or anything. How do I fix this?!? I am sure it is something simple and I will feel stupid afterwards but it beats sitting there for 30 minutes trying to figure it out.

It's a bug. It's something that randomly happens to people. I believe the Baldurdash fix pack fixes the problem, but I can't recall for certain. Regardless, the easiest thing would be to use Shadow Keeper to remove it from your inventory.

I figured that out in the end. I am soloing the game currently so I didn't have the spell at hand. Also all of the priests didn't think I needed dispell magic so I was confused. Eventually I just drank a potion and bought dispell magic. Thanks anyways though.
