| | Drake in North Forest Ok, so far this is the toughest guy I've had to fight. I killed the red, black and silver dragons too at this point.
The drake isn't really all that hard to kill but when he dies he shuts the game down and I can't restart it without rebooting windows.
Anyone else had this problem? I've tried several different ways of killing him and every time the game crashes to desktop.
A few of the people in the party are maxed exp, is there some bug when it tries to assign the exp? |

| | Check out Baldudash. They have tons of bug fixes.
BTw, isn't a drake supposed to be a male dck. Wouldn't that be an insult to a dragon? |

| | SLIGHT SPOILER
You mean the dragon in Suldanessellar or in the Temple Ruins?
Either way, I'ven't had that problem. Don't use the Baldurdash stuff if you have ToB installed though.

I reckon that Stonehege was build by the contemporary equivalent of Microsoft, whereas Avebury was definitely an Apple circle.

| | No, i'm talkin about a regular drake in north forest. I was joking about him being hard to kill though, just that he crashes the game every time I do
I spose I can just skip him since he seems to be the only thing that crashes the game when I kill it. |

| | Well, if anyone else ever has a problem with the game crashing when you kill a mob, here is how I finally killed it without crashing.
Kill with poison, let the poison from arrows of biting kill it or somthing, if any of my characters actually landed the killing blow the game would crash.
There ya go. |

| | Yes, he's talking about the Greater Wyvern in the southern part of the North Forest. I don't think you can take this one's head though...

| | Drakes are like small dragons. If you install the Improved Abazigal patch you get to fight some. They use the same animation as wyverns, but they are a good sight more powerful, and they cast spells.

| | I always thought drakes were male ducks and wyrms were really really long dragons.
The black dragon in the woods, can't be a great wyrm, because it should be waaay more powerful. The xp for dragons in BG2 is messed up. |

| | Yea, sorry its a wyvern. Ran into another one with a couple cultists around it in the other forest map. This one did the same thing, when i kill it the game crashes unless it dies from poison.
Any ideas why? easy to work around, but puzzling none the less. |

| | Ummm, no one mentioned Wyrms dude. Just Wyverns and Dragons. BTW we're talking about the Greater Wyvern in Tethyr forest, not Nizidrminiiyt in Suldanesslar or Thax'llsyllia in the Umar Hills.
In reality Drakes are the name for male Ducks. In Fantasy, Drakes are small dragonlike creatures.
It's pretty much just a devastating bug, I've never heard of anything like it before.

| | There were no Greater Wyverns in BGI, unless it's in ToSC. Only normal Wyverns, they just seemed a lot more powerful then.

| | I never had a problem with them. Well after all my party consisted of 4 warriors, 1 thief, 1 wizard, so i had my wrriors melee the beast to death. I lost some hp, but it was no big deal. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
