Cult of the Unseeing eye Lower reaches

I am replaying BG2 and for some reason I cant get down to the lower reaches. I have already talked to Sasser about the Rod. Anyone else run into this problem ?

Have you talked to the cultist that is in relation with Sassar who can get you through the holes? He should be somewhere near the cult...

I have talked to Sasser and he is meant to direct me to Tad but he doesnt and when I talk to Tad he just says this is the pit and be on your way

And it is impossible to go into the pit in the cultist temple? I remember opening a secret dore near the shade lich what made me go through some tunnel and giving me stairs to the lower reaches, but i think it shuld also be possible to enter the pitin the cultist temple (if u choose to stick with Gaal)...

It is impossible to go into the pit and I remember I did it before. Anyway thanks for reminding me about the door at the back of the crypt. It will do for now

You are supposed to get to the lower reaches down the stairs past the crypt where Sassar is. You can only go down the pit by Tad once you have retrieved the rod from the lower reaches.

Well, at least i was right on the lich crypt with teh door . All those names keep messing with my mind
