I canot get out of that area... I am refering to the lower reaches of 'the unseeing eye'--after killing him with the rift device. I try to exit via the stairs up to the lich left--(arms & legs) and the right--stairs to the aumumanter temple area.

Please someone give me a hint here!

You have to take the stairs at the south in the area where you kill the beholders. The stairs are near where you kill it.

The dern door at the top of the stairs is locked, fer goodness sakes, if that is the stair ye be meanin' then fiddlesticks.

that is not a door actually. It's a hidden wall. You should be able to open it.

u should be able to open the door if u can detect it but that should be no problem.
