| |  boots of speed?
Ok i know that in the game there are three possible places for the boots of speed to be.
1. 15 tokens in the boot making thingy
2. in the astral prison.. kill someone
3. loot renal bloodscalp in the guildhall.
I have two questions... 1) ive already spent 15 tokens on two crap boots, is there a way to get more tokens? and 2)how do you get the boots from renel bloodscalp? i have 105% pickpockets and i can never pickpocket him.. ive tried surrounding him and flat out killing him, but some guy appears and kills every single one of my people in one hit. How do you get the boots of speed from renal bloodscalp?? thanks for any help in advance. |

Nino, with respect, please don't bump your topic up after half-an-hour without a response on this board. We're all busy, many of work or go to school, and it just comes across kind of over-insistent, if you follow me. Please bear this in mind on posting here in the future, okay? Now, as regards your last question--
What Lykwid meant was that in chapter two, you're given a choice of siding with either the Shadow Thieves, or Bodhi and her vampires. If you side with the latter, one of your tasks will be to kill Renal. He has a pair of those boots, so if you kill him, you get the boots. If you side with the Shadow Thieves, you don't get the boots, since he's your boss.

I never looted those boots from him, i always side with Bodhi.. I think the guy with the boots is the guy giving you the quest involving Edwin..

Hmm...after I completed the Mae'var quest, I tried to pick pocket Renal BS - I couldn't, but when I killed him that annoying guy who usually instant-kills me didn't show up...just for the record...I reloaded, cuz I'm on the Shadow Thieves' side

hmmm maybe you got lucky.. damn ive been trying but that one guy who kills me keeps appearing.... i even tried keeping my whole team on the lower floor of the building and going upstairs alone with my theif to pickpocket bloodscalp, and when it failed , that instant-kill guy showed up downstairs, with the rest of my group, not even in the same map than my theif was! damn i dunno... |

Just like in Maevars, there is a side door into Renals room that lets you stay away from the lower floors. Dunno if Insta-killer shows up in Renals area if he's an enemy when you enter.
In maevars, there are a few insta-killers down on first floor, but none appear in the basement if you use the side door in from the docks. It might be a way to avoid them damn back stabbin bastards.
