| | | Let's see. My ideas:
Jon Irenicus - Alan Rickman (The guy who was Professor Snapes in the Harry Potter movies)
Bhodi - Lucy Liu, maybe?
Minsc - (Depending upon how old Minsc is supposed to be) Either Mel Gibson, Matthew McConnaghey (sp?), or Vin Diesel
Jaheira - Probably the actress who was Galadriel in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Imoen - Definitely no idea
Yoshimo - Possibly Jet Li
Gaelan Bayle - Any ideas, anyone?
Aran Linvail - Hugh Jackman
Saemon Havarian - I would have to say Kevin Costner.
The problem is, other than what I just posted above, what ever other NPCs could likely be in the cast, what will the main character be, and will the main plot be the only parts of the movie? Big questions, eh? |

| | Jon Irenicus - David Warner (why anyone else?)
Bodhi - Christina Ricci
Minsc - Ralf Moeller (the big German actor who played Conan on TV)
Edwin - Alan Rickman (comical as well as evil)
Jaheira - Michelle Pfeiffer
Valygar - Will Smith (just to spice up the role)
Viconia - Catherine Zeta-Jones
Nalia - Drew Barrymore
Keldorn - Sean Connery
Saemon Havarian - Ewan McGregor
Cernd - Toby Maguire
I'll post more if I can think of any.
The thing to remember about the main character and Imoen is that they're only supposed to be about twenty-one years old, so I think we need to avoid picking thirty-five-year-old actors for those parts (no offense to fine actors such as Cuba Gooding, Jr.). The other characters might be a little (or sometimes a lot) older. |

| | | If Kahled was alive in the second one, Hue Grant would play him.
But who would play the main character?

| | Bah, you're absolutely right! We had an identical thread almost 3 years ago.
What about the obvious casting of Irenicus: David Warner? His voice is great in BG2. And if anyone recalls him from Time Bandits, they'll know what a superbly evil figure he can make.

| | | Time bandits is his best performance I think.
plus it has dwarfs in, and you just can't beat a film with dwarfs in.
Anyway I don't think a Baldurs Gate film would work.
If they did make one, it would be like the street fighter film.
The same characters but with different personnalities,
and a story line that has nothing to do with the game.
Alas, it would be nothing more than a "cash-in" |

| | Mazzy - Halle Berry
(Heck, if they can make Elijah Wood hobbit-sized, they can make Halle short too.)

The Street Fighter movie indeed plainly sucked (the manga one however, didnt!)
If they would make a Baldurs Gate II movie, they should make it like a combination of the Lord of the Rings and Robin Hood (the one with Kevin Costner)...
The main character however would be a though choise, I mean, male or female?? Black or White?? My vote would go out to Johhny Depp, my favorite actor....
Wait a minute, maybe he would be better as Dhalis, or Saemon, crap this is hard....
