assassin dual question

should i dual class my assassin to a mage at level 15 when i get the high damage poison and super poison speed or earlier at 10th or 13th so i dont have to play without the thief skills? (i have tob so i will be able to re-activiate the thief class regardless)

if you dual at level 15, you should probably go down to three party members to help you advance faster. If you use a party of six, I think you'd be well into ToB by the time you got your assassin skills back. that's no fun.

It's tough dualling an assassin because if you swap too early, he's not that great of a backstabber when you finally get the thieves skills back and if you dual too late, it takes almost the whole game waiting for the thief skills to return.

My advice, don't dual, assassins are fun as hell.

Do what you like, just lift the cap and you can dual your assassin at 35!

Do a search on "assassin". I've proposed it several times before but here we go again:

Dual at level 10. You get a decent x 4 multiplier, can obtain 100 % in both Hide in Shadow and Move Silently, get faster working poison, and three Poison Weapon per day. Most important, you'll soon have a real dual class character to play with. This strategy more or less forces you to take another thief in for traps and such, though (both Imoen and Nalia will do, as will of course Jan).
