Area transition crash

This is my second run through the game and every time a tried to go from Brynnlaw to the asylum area the game crashes and exits to windows. After it happened a few more times I decided to use the console to move to Spellhold (AR1512) and I appeared next to the portal where the demon, werewolf and djinn appear. Everything went quite smooth until I realised I had not had the conversation with Irenicus, the dream, the conversation with Bohdi and Imoen or anything else. Instead, in the middle area there was Imoen standing doing nothing and Bohdi on an unreachable platform above ground. I decided to continue playing because nothing was too bad (besides from the fact that I had not lost any stat points). However, when I got to the area where Bohdi attacks you and you turn into the Slayer, Bohdi was there doing nothing and neutral. I attacked her and she took damage normally, but never died. Anyway, I continued and was prepared to fight Irenicus with all the inmates there, but when I was teletransported to his lab he wasn't even there! My party and the prisoners where alone.

I guess that entering the asylum in the normal way triggers a whole set of events, or even triggers an event (the conversation with Irenicus and the dream) that subsequently triggers others.

I think that the area transition bug can't be fixed (and I'm not so willing to go through the maze again) so I need a way to make Irenicus appear in his lab, in order to at least escape from the asylum. Suggestions? Maybe the console could be used, but I couldn't find anything on the web. Help please!
