About Exp cap

Ok, I'm soloing trough SOA for the first time. I have TOB, TOB patch + Baldurs Dash patch.
I'm in chapter 6 and after killing Bhodi I realised I haven't gained exp for some time. I'm stuck at 2.666.666 exp. I thought that with TOB installed the cap would be 8.000.000. Is that true or am I misunderstanding things.
If the cap is 2.666.666 and I remove it, will I miss anything out of TOB ?
I was thinkin about usin the cap remover and the improved spelltables (I'm usin a Fighter/Mage/Thief).

Well the problem is you've reached the 8 million xp cap already.
Your playing a F/M/T so your actually playing 3 separate classes. Within each class your xp is split evenly among each class, and each class has a cap of 2,666,666. So if you multiplyed 3 by 2,666,666 you'd get 8 million, the total cap for xp. You can d/l the safe xp cap remover if you want to obtain 8 million xp within each separate class. I believe the URL can be found in the "BG CROSSROADS" thread at the very top of the SOA forum.

If you have ToB installed, they've added a level 41 into the "level data file" - for lack of a better term. This means that if you get up to level 41, the game will look into the other data files - THAC0, spells, skills, etc. - and try to look for what value they should be set too; obviously, there is no such reference for level 41, so you end up with the value that you would have got at level 1.

The "safe xp cap remover" edit the "level data file" as well, to remove the level 41 from the list, so you'll only get up to level 40 - which the game have other data for.

I will now use the XP cap remover I got from Balsurs Dash. Too bad I've lost like 300.000 xp though

If i'm not mistaken, that experience is added after you install the exp-cap-remover. The game keeps counting you're experience, you just don't level up anymore!!!!
