Won't Open

Last night, my mom was going to play Baldur's Gate on her computer, but it wouldn't open. It runs through the beginning 'credits' stuff and the little movie that follows the quote of Friederich Nietzche(sp?) then goes back to the desktop. I checked the taskbar and it isn't minimized. It's also not listed in the window that pops up when you Ctrl+Alt+Del. Has anyone ever had this problem and does anyone have any ideas on what to do to fix it?

Yes.

I have had this problem.
I assume it was because my CD-Drive was too slow as when I upgraded to DVD it worked.

Make sure your CD/DVD is set to Quad-Speed or Higher.

Failing that re-install.

I checked and her CD-ROM is set to Quad-Speed or Higher, so she's going to try re-installing.
