| | | What is this thing about jellies? Ok.I'm at Area5000 and killed Narcillicus Harwilliger Neen. But i can't kill the jellies. They are immiune to everything. Missile weapons, +1 blunt weapons, +1 spiked weapons, two-handed sword, long sword. How can i be able to kill them. Is there some sort of bug that makes them immortal or sth.
I have read the walkthrough. There says "...some may be immune to missile weapons and magic(I talk about Mustard Jellies)..."
But they are immune to everthing in my exp.
Is there any way to kill them.
And a second question. My npc is a Paladin level2. And I'm recently playing chapter 2. Battales are very though. I've Minsc Khalid Jaheria and Imoen in my party. But ranged attacks are my saviour. I can't win a melee combat. Is BG1+ToSC is harder than BGII?
Thanks. |

| | | Narcillicus's mustard jellies have many immunities, but they aren't immune to everything. They have 100% resistance to blunt damage (which rules out maces and morningstars) and 85% resistance to missile damage (which rules out slings and arrows). They are also immune to non-magical weapons. They are "only" 30% resistant to slashing weapons, so try a +1 longsword, or better yet, a +2 longsword. They are not immune to magic, fire, cold, acid, and electricity, so you could try Magic Missile, a Wand of the Heavens, a Wand of Frost, a Wand of Fire, or a Wand of Lightning. |

| | | Weapons like Varscona Long Sword, Ashideena Hammer and spells (as well as antidotes) are useful in this battle.

| | @sparhawk_tr Possible spoiler:
I don't want to completely spoil your own experience so I won't tell you where you should be exploring first, only that the area's east of Nashkell and Beregost are fairly tough. I wouldn't be wandering over there as a level 2 anything. My best advice would be to gain some experience elsewhere first. So don't feel too bad about not being able to kill anything in those area's yet.
And BG2 is much more difficult than BG1. BG1 really isn't all that hard. You just gotta' learn the best strategeries and tactics and things. Once you learn how the game thinks and have a good idea of the beasts you are facing and know what the member's of your party specialize in. Things will get easier. Good luck.

| | | I agree with Thomas. Save often and when you bite off more then you can chew, reload, try somewhere different and come back later. |

| | | Thanks for all of your suggestions. I have defeated them with Varscona LOng Sword. I have missed the Greywolf quest. Now my party has a good shape. I've kicked the Imoen and taken Goran (with his range attack whoa!) Minsc, Dynaheir, Jaheria Khalid. But i want to ask something.
My melee fighters are misses the attacks very often. Lİke they are trying to hit air. My paladin PC has 17 cons, 18 dex(bracers of dex), 18/63 str, 21char
(19+2 with cloack of char) 16 wis, 3 int. (he is a dumb paladin) He is level 5 by now. Other chars are about lvl5 also. What do you think about that. Is it normal?
Thanks again.
Note: Khalid and Goran have range weapons and they truly rock. |

Note: Khalid and Goran have range weapons and they truly rock. | If you mean that the animation shows them swinging but they do not connect, yes that is normal. The animation does not necessarily correspond to the actual attack roll.
If you are looking at the feedback and see that they are actually missing, you need to check out their thac0. A 5th level Paladin should have a base thac0 of 16 and his 18/63 STR should reduce that by another 2. So depending on what sword you are using, your thac0 should be around 12-14. Which means that you would only hit around 30-40% of the time if your oponent was AC 0. But most enemies have much worse armor class so figure you ought to be hitting roughly 2/3 to half the time.
