Tutu bug?? any advice ??

I'm playing a monk all the way through, he's currently level 5. According to the discription he should be immune to disease, slow, and haste. This is not the case however I got diseased when fighting wraith spiders in Peldvale which lowered my strenght to 8. Is this a bug or a feature ?? ie some kind of magical disease. If it's a bug how do I fix it ?? Thanks.

After a bit of research, I've noticed a few things:

1) after level 5 I get the disease icon but no stat change

2) my Thaco increases when fighting a ghoul, but I've read that thats not part of disease and disease is only reflected by stat change not Thaco change

Can anybody confirm this ?? If thats the case then my disease resistance is working as specified, just that the icon stays.

I just checked with IEE that a 5th level monk is protected from Disease, Haste and Slow. The icons for the last two are removed, but there is in fact no way to remove the disease icon in IEE.
