Trouble with Mods

Ok...I decided to reinstall the entire BG series so i could install Easy Tutu and BG1 NPC Mod and the BG 1 Fix Pack11. So I installed them in this order Tutu, NPC mod and BG1 Fix pak and when I use the shortcut that the Tutu put on the desktop it asked to have the Expansion pack cd in drive e (TOTSC) and I did but it just sat on that screen....

Are the mods not working well together?

Should I forget the mods or run only the Tutu? Is the BG1 fix pak11 not working well with TUTU?

Help

Did you read the readme files? They should tell you the order of installation. As I recall, the FixPack should come after any official patches you load, and before any other mods. As for EasyTutu, I don't recall whether that comes before or after you install the official patch. You'd best check that readme. That also applies to TOTSC.

EasyTutu and Tutu also share a forum, where you can upload your questions. They don't answer too quickly, but they are very helpful and friendly. Somebody who is currently using EasyTutu here might be able to help, as well.

Check out this thread. I found it very helpful when I was installing Tutu. Make sure you've got the order of install correct and that you've done a full install of the entire BG series. Basically,

Full Install of BG1
Full Install of BG ToSC
TOSC Patch
Full Install of BG2
Full Install of BG2: ToB (if you've got it)
ToB patch
Easy Tutu
EasyTutu Hotfixes
EasyTutu DeGreenifier
EasyTutu NPC Kit mod (if you want it)
Tutu Fixes
Then additional mods.....

Thanks, Faust. Yes, that should do it. It's been a while since I played BG1.

I would like to do a complete reinstall, too: BG1, BG2, ToB, EasyTutu, BG1 NPC project, Gavin, Kelsey, Edwin and Tsujatha.

If I would like to continue the game from where I am now, is it enough to keep my saved games and exported characters, and copy them back to their respective folders after reinstall, or do I need to keep other files as well?

Yes, it is possible that your saved game will be all right, but you will almost certainly have to use "string fixers" for your characters, because their soundsets will be messed up.

For Kelsey, select him and press K key.
For BG1 NPC Project characters, click on them(player-initiated dialogue will show up) and choose "your voice is strange" option.

Good luck, and enjoy your game.
