| | If it can be done with a bard I'm not so sure of - because some of the areas are very meelecombat prone.
You'll most proberly need plenty of potions, like speed, invisibility, explosions etc.
You need to stockpile all poitions that can help you in combat. |

| | Besides heavy melee fighting you'll also have to remove a real lot of traps.
My guess is, a level 8 bard can go in and take some stuff out of there, but it's unlikely you'll make it through all the way, unless you are really good.

| | I would get some help for durlag's tower. It is easily the coolest element in the game. There is a lot to see and it is difficult. Find some friends for the tower and get rid of them once complete. I can think of one sequence where it will be impossible to get through with only one person. You will need a party of six.

| | Well I would think it possible - but it would need a fighter or fighter/thief.
With the aid of potions and various arrows, I'd say it could be done.
(and the boots of speed )

There's the big Demon Knight at the end that dispels all your nice enchantments and potion effects. Kinda tough fellow.
I would be very interested in hearing how a Bard without the Boots can kill him. |

| | You want to hear how the fight went it was a piece of cake!
Just casted monster summoning 3 twice (from a scrol).
They kept em busy while I shoot at him with arrows of piercing (moving around the cirkel)
But it was fun to do.
And the rest of durlags tower was no problem.
I had 2 rings of fire resistance so firebal traps were no problem, and lighting traps can easely be dodged.
Those four guards I had some problem with them but not to much.

| | Dunno about Monty, but Xan is definitely worth his share of the XP, IMO. Besides, you'll hit the cap anyway, even with six members... |
