I don`t know what to do here... I can either kill her and get a nice experience reward of 5000 or I can kill the ogremage and get a smaller amount of experience but some money and the "helm of defens". I play multi with my brother and we play with two characters... shall I kill Shoal or the ogremage?

Well, what would fit your alignment better?

Failling that; do you need a decent helmet?

If neither matter, go for the exp

When you meet the dryad make someone other than your main char the leader. Let that person be killed by her. Then threaten to kill her if she doesn't restore your dead party member's life. She will give you her sob story. Tell her you will help her. She will resurrect your dead char. Move that char to safety and kill the ogre mage. Can't remember if Shoal thanks you, but I always kill her at this point. Doesn't harm the party rep or anything. Have your resurrected char pick up their equipment and heal them up. This way you get all the experience and all the loot.

I usually kill both of them. Let him resurrect the dead guy then attack her quickly before you see the ogre mage. You get all the XP and the loot.
