| | | Ring of Wizardry hey, i'm looking thru the maps here to see some things that i would have about no chance in hell of finding. I'm at the friendly arm inn and i want the Ring of Wizardry (i think thats what it is called)
I checked the exact spot over and over for 10 minutes and found nothing, i don't have the expansion installed, where can i get the ring? |

| | | You can't find the ring. The game was crippled in order to make you buy the expansion. $$$
If you want it on your next run don't patch your game or do install the expansion before entering this area. |

| | | The area in which you find it is a small hole, either in a rock or ground. Just trace your cursor over the general area and note the change from pointing hand to the hand holding a ring. The ring is there, just hard to spot.
Also, you can press the "x" key to see they x,y coordinates of your cursor and can adjust the cursor through the trial and error method until you find it.

| It is right at the base of a fairly large tree to the right of the drawbridge...

| | | With all the help I get here from other people, though I would try to help if I could.
I wrote these down when I found it. x2553 y3757, but still had to move the finger around several times before it changed.

| | | ....Or you can just press TAB or whichever key it is that lights everything that you can pick up with a bluish glow (or greenish, or whichever colour it is)

That really nice "convenience touch" was added to BG2/ToB, and wasn't present in BG1 or BG1/SoA (unmodded).

| | Bushwhacker, if you can't find the ring - or can't have it due to the patch - it wouldn't be too much of a cheat to use a game editor to get the ring.

In my opinion, finding things is a little too easy if all you have to do is press TAB in order to find things. Each to his/her taste of course. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
