I could swear he is at the inn standing there for sometime afterwords, but i don't have ToTSC installed right now so I'm going purely by memory which I admit seems to be less and less accurate as I advance in years.

I think your reputation level has a bearing on whether characters stick around once you ask them to leave the party. If you have a high reputation and you ask Edwin or Viconia to leave I think they will disappear for good.

Viconia seems to be the hardest character to please. If you have a low reputation when you first encounter her she will refuse to join your party because she says the Flaming Fist will just keep coming after her.

Are you sure about Viconia?I mean, I almost always have low reputation, when I play, because I mostly play as an evil character, but I never encountered this before. She always joins the party.

And about Edwin - if you remove him from the party, he goes to the Belching Dragon tavern in Nashkel. That happens if you have low reputation, I don't know how it's if you have high one, because it's been too long since I played as a good guy.

I think its the Gibbelings' Tweak mod lets you specify where a party NPC will go if they're removed from your group.

Ah if it's part of a pack that's why I couldn't find it.

"The BG1 NPC Project: NPCs Can Be Sent to Wait in an Inn
Tutu Only
This component allows BG NPCs to be sent to an Inn, another location, or to wait for you when you dismiss them from the party. This component is not compatible with Sword Coast Strategems, but both mods detect each other and will not install components that conflict. If you would prefer to use Sword Coast Stratagems' version, install that version before installing BG1 NPC's version. In the BG1 NPC version, slightly different waiting places are used, and NPCs will highly dislike being abandoned alone in dangerous areas..."

Tada!

I'm fairly certain your Reputation score has something to do with an NPC disappearing, or staying put, when you dismiss them. In early chapters Jaheira (and Khalid), for example, would stay put if dismissed. But Jaheira always disappeared whenever I dismissed her (taking Khalid too!) after adventuring for awhile, because by that point I had acquired a higher Rep. In fact, I seem to recall testing this with old savegames, and I seem to recall the "disappearing" point was with a Rep score of 18 (or higher). This was also the case with other characters of neutral alignments, such as Xan.

"Our quest is vain..."

Depends on reputation. With 18+ neutral and evil dont stay but leave. I used Viconia as a nurse in FAI. Stopped working once i had too much rep. Same with Branwen(who is neutral). Xan is parked in Beregost. It is possible to send NPCs to towns(beregost, nashkel, fai) with G3 BG1 tweakpack installed. No TuTu needed lol.
