Talking Quest\area you liked most

This topic has been done a lot of times for BGII. Now we have the opportunity of saying our opinion for BGI
My vote goes to:
-quest: free Dynaer. Killing all those gnolls is really funny.
-area: the one with the sirens just south of Candlekeep.

Quest: getting the airship items for the Thieves Guild. There are so many ways you can steal/kill in that one. Plus its part of the whole guild thing & has ramifications later in the game.

Area: Candlekeep catacombs for the loot.

I loved the whole Werewolf Island quest for ToSC, especially the little romance with Delainy/Durlyle (depending on your gender). The plot twists were great, like figuring out the whole little mystery of the Island and discovering that my character had contracted lycanthropy. Had this been PnP D&D I would have handed in my character sheet and had my PC retire for a life of peace and isolation with Delainy. Unfortunately it was not meant to be (as you well know ), but this tragic romance seemed to set the stage for my character’s (my original PC, a human fighter) future romance with Aerie. After Aerie backs off from the relationship I began thinking how this must be affecting my character’s mental health, as everyone he cares about either abandons him, or dies (taking into account Gorion’s, Khalid’s and Dynaheir’s murder, Imoen’s kidnapping, and Yoshimo’s betrayal). This has inclined the inherently good man to listen to the whispers of his darker nature, possibly damning him forever. Hopefully ToB will include options I can use to reflect my character’s somewhat rickety grip on things now.

Maybe this is too much thought to put into a computer game but the role-player in me wants to flesh out the individual and let him gravitate to his most logical emotional state. I tend to do that with all the characters I make When Neverwinter Nights comes out I will have an infinite supply of overly complex NPCs waiting in the wings

Favourite Quest: Ankheg hunting/Recovering Farmer Brun's son. Lotsa loot.

Favourite Area: Ulgoth's Beard. There was something nice about being there. Almost tranquil if you will...

The threat of skunks or matrimony often catalyzes this reaction.

FQ: Durlag's Tower

FA: The area with the Red Wizards (prob. because of the level of enermy's on a non specific map.) p.s. even better in DSOTSC

Quest: The Nashkell Mines. My first time thru it was exciting to be in the first dungeon. The fight at the end was good for the level as well.

Area: All of BG (the city), the art is wonderful.

Favourite quests : return to candlekeep - It was great to return home, to an area I was familiar with and see how things got changed during my travels. This is the place where my character was completely sure about his father issue and accepted his heritage of course. I also loved the doppleganger fights in the catacombs and that trust-no-one game during it I killed 2 npcs cuz I was sure they were dopplegangers as well. Another quest I liked was "save the dukes" in the palace - very challenging and interesting fight for a party of two thieves.

Favourite areas : Candlekeep catacombs, Iron Throne HQ, BG Sewers.
