No Flails?

I`m playing BG1 for the first time in years. In BG2 I usually play a berserker/cleric and dual at level 9.
I`ve started as a berserker in BG1 with flail/warhammer/mace skills.
Trouble is, I can`t find any decent weapons. Are there any flails or warhammers to be found.
Also, what level should I dual at?

As far as I recall, actually there are. And if I remember correctly, the best you can get is a warhammer ( SPOILER, highlight to read: )owned by the madman Bassilus

The +2 warhammer that Andurbal mentioned is one of the best weapons in the game. (You shouldn't expect to find many +3 weapons in BG1.) There is also at least one +2 flail and a +2 mace. Weapons like the +2 Staff-Mace and the Staff of Striking are also good blunt weapons for a Cleric.

My advice, davfrahen, is to check the Baldur's Gate section of the game's main site on how to access these weapons.

Weapons like the +2 Staff-Mace and the Staff of Striking are also good blunt weapons for a Cleric.

Or a druid.
