| | | Karoug VERY impressed this time There was a big blur of fur, fangs and hammer and a lot of 'ow, ow, not the tail' and then it was over. It may be called 'Aegis2', but I'll forever remember it as 'VonDondu's Victory'. Or something to that effect.
Thanks a lot, VD, I really appreciate it. I couldn't edit a warhammer to save my life
EDIT: I'm keeping the hammer... just in case...

| | | I'm glad it worked.
I need to remember that lycanthropes can only be hit by silver weapons. Can you think of any other greater wolfweres in BG2?
Also, what does the description for Aegis Fang look like in Tutu? In BG1:TotSC the item description points to some dialogue (apparently Angelo speaking to Shar Teel) and the name of item is "Show me the way", which is actually a pretty cool name for a weapon. When I try to edit an item description, Infinity Engine Editor Pro always gives me an error message and won't let me save the file. |

As for greater Wolfweres: only Firkaag's dungeon comes to mind.

| | Hm, I get a lot of error messages after I install the program. I'm not sure where I went wrong but I can't seem to fix it for now.

| | Coot, I just wanted to know what you see when you look at the item from inside the game and read the description. You know how you click on it in your inventory? That's all I meant.
I don't know if I could give you a tutorial right now on how to use Infinity Engine Editor Pro. I have some stitches in my gums inside my mouth and it's making me climb the walls when the hydrocodone isn't making me forget what I write from one paragraph to the next. But you need to install the Visual Basic Runtime packages (versions 5 and 6 I think) to make it work, so that might be the problem. If you want to change an item, start the editor twice and use an existing item that has the features you want as a model. The item you're using as a reference will be on one side of the screen and the item you're changing will be on the other side of the screen. It makes things a lot easier. |

The description for Aegis hasn't changed: "Aegis-Fang
This weapon was made specifically for Wulfgar by Bruenor Battlehammer, and the strongest of its enchantments only function while in the young warrior's hands. Anyone else wields Aegis-Fang as a War Hammer +3.
STATISTICS:
Thac0: +3 bonus
Damage: 2D4 + 3
Damage type: crushing
Weight: 3
Speed Factor: 1
Proficiency Type: War Hammer
Type: 1-handed
Requires: 18 strength
Not Usable By:
Druid
Mage
Thief"
Sorry about your gums, VD. I have an appointment with my dentist on thursday and I foresee great pains for me as well.

The warhammer and the flameblade spell don't work. I got a bit frustrated so I SK-ed in Crom Faeyr and Runehammer +5. Overkill, I thought. But believe it or not, they won't hurt him either!
I wouldn't mind leaving Karoug alone, but I won't be leaving the island unless I kill him. | Whilst it is a bit of a cheat, I think that you will find that you can escape the island by going straight to the mainland when you go from one area to the other. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Rate This Thread | Linear Mode | |
