| | | Is Kivan Flirting?
I have a female paladin and have had Kivan in the party from early on. Lately, Kivan has been saying something like, "You are a beautiful woman." Has this happened to anyone else?
I find the spontaneous dialogues of the NPC pretty amusing. Although Branwen's berating got a little annoying. |

| | Yes, possibly. Kivan is just the sort of stuffed shirt that would love a pally. You should try combining Coran with Dynaheir sometime - he tries to pimp her (sort of). But you're on the wrong forum!  |

In Baldur's Gate 2 they get even better, and there you can actually romance an NPC.

| | | That Kivan can flirt too, is something new to me, especially since I thought that he will never can live a happy life untill he revenged his slain love, and I guess that that happens when he has killed Tazok at the end of the game.
That Coran is flirting is ofcourse well-known, at my party he already did it with Branwen and Dynaheir. I heard that you get some special "romantic" dialogues between Coran and Safana. What kinda dialogues? Safana never really is for long in my party, since Imoen is so much better...

| | | I never really realized that some flirting was going on in BG1, but if you pay close attention it becomes rather apparent. The fact that Kivan does is really bugging me, since he's on a quest of revenge for the murder of a past love. You have to mix up your characters to see the flirting, though. Sticking with Khalid and Jaheira the whole time seems to slow things down, b/c they converse more. I've had about enough of this line: "You are a w-welcome part of th-this group..."

| | | Maybe it is Ajantis-- I can't tell because none of the characters are highlighting in white when the line is spoken. I also thought it would be weird for Kivan to do this. Either way, this dialogue is only happen to me recently (Chapter 7) even though I have had both NPCs since early on. I haven't played BG II (I'm a Mac person and am behind on my games), but I am pleased to hear that there is even more dialogue. |

| | | I didn't know that any of that happened in BG1. Its certainly never happened to me. It might also be because I usually go with the same people - Minsc, Imoen, Dynaheir, Khalid, and Jaheira. I actually managed to play part of the game with some diferent characters, thoguh I can't remember if I ever finished with that particular game.

| | | I think it is Ajantis who keeps murmuring "You are a beautiful woman" - although I did have Kivan in my party, I'm fairly sure it was Ajantis who was highlighted for that one.
That said, I have a vague memory from last time through that Kivan will flirt with Branwen - I didn't have Ajantis in my party back then, but there was definitely some interest coming from that supposedly distraught ranger! |
