If I use self-made NPCs, can I import them to BG2 with my protagonist?

If so, how?

Click at the export button, move the character file to the corresponding BG2 folder and import at character creation.

Alternatively, at the end of the game copy CHAR1, CHAR2, CHAR3 etc. into the character file in SoA and import when in Multiplayer mode.
