How Quick?

I'm sure a number of us have played the game "a few times" shall we say.

I'm currently crashing htrough the game purely to collect the 7 tomes and was wondering how quick has anyone done BG TotSC in terms of days in the game (not the time it takes for us to sit there and play it).

I'm on day 15 and just killed Daveron in the Cloakwood mines.

So anyone every clocked how quick it's taken.
And before anyone shout "that's not the point of the game", I very much enjoy the wandering arround map to map and doing all subquests it's just this game I want the tomes for a character for BG2.

Be interested to hear, Thanks.

I must admit I haven't clocked it. However, are you sure that you are getting all the Tomes? I think that you can get eight. If you want to know the one that you are missing, let me know the ones you know about and I will tell you which one you've missed.

One of each stat, save Wisdom where you can get three. So yeah, 8. The Gamebanshee baldurs gate-section is pretty throughout about the tomes though, and my personal guess is that you're missing the one in Watcher's Keep. I never get that one either ^_^

It's me can't add up, yes 8 it is.
Plus the Dulag's Tower one could be the tricky one with the level of party I have, tips on Battle Horrors with low level party would be appreciated.

Day 20ish and reached the catacombs below Candlekeep. Dulag's Tower and Pirates Cave next before going back to city of BG.

Very easy. Leave most of your party where you entered the tower area. use stealth of some kind, thief, potion or spell to get to the tower. Go upstairs, pick up any valuables that you want including the tome. It doesn't matter if you get charmed as there is nobody else in your party to clobber you or vice versa though the potion that you get upstairs at Candlekeep makes you resilient to it. Alternatively use potions of perception, dexterity and master thieving. Use stealth to get back out. There is a potion of oil of speed in there which helps get you out without having to keep on trying to hide.
You need to use a bit of lateral thinking if you want to go where Love Pride etc. are. However that is not needed to get the Tome. I usually go to the tower at level 1 and come out as level 5. To do that you need a small party.
