Question Durlag's tower 'frozen' skeleton

Hi there.
Ive just done Durlag's Tower and was wondering if anyone knows what that skeleton in the entrance hall is for. It doesn't seem to do anything! You can't talk to it, and the only it does it break into small pieces if you hit it. Any ideas!?

Can you be more specific? Which room is the skeleton in? Is it highlighted with a red or blue circle?

Cheers,
TGHO

I think Kurgen means the skeleton with a blue circle beneath it in the largest room on the first floor. The room with the spiral staircase that takes you both up and down. Good question, what is that skeleton there for?

I think that skeleton is just the skeleton of a dead person, and it is harmless; it's not like one of the re-animated skeletons that you treat like a monster. If I'm not mistaken, if you take the guided tour of Durlag's Tower, the skeleton is merely a prop that the tour guide refers to when he tells the story of the tower. It's kind of weird to think that we expect every skeleton we see to be "alive".

Thumbs up Thanks

Thanks for that. Yeah, i was talking about the one with the blue circle round it. Now I can go and smash it to pieces without having it on my conscience.

The skeleton in Durlag's Tower is actually turned to stone, you can use a scroll of stone to flesh (what flesh? he is a skeleton after all)...anyway other than that I couldn't find any use for him except killing him. Usually if a person is turnet to stone and you attack it their equipment is lost. I was hopint to find something on him but no luck. However it can be unstoned..YAY!!!

Yeah, that skeleton get's explained by the tour guide if you take the guided tour. You first have to go to Ulgoth's Beard, meet up with the guide and then head on down to the Tower. If you really want to know the story behind the skeleton, you can either find out by taking the tour or if you don't want to waste any time you can read my spoiler below!
SPOILER:
The skeleton is merely an example of Durlag's insanity. In his insane paranoia, Durlag created a painting so horrorfying that it freezes whoever looks upon it. It was used to kill any intruders. That poor sap is just one of the victims. And if you want to actually see the painting, don't bother looking cause it's no longer there. It has since been torn down, stolen by theives I presume.
