LOL! I didn't doubt it's legality, but you would not be able to have a kensai/avenger since they are both SoA kits

Re your stalker question, I would put proficiencies in bow - since it is a ranger class - but then go for single weapon bonuses as it increases ac IIRC...

Kensai/Avenger would be just too powerfull no one would be it because it would make the game too easy

i also had a thought about the stalker, just imagine how fast he would be with the taralash, boots of speed. and ammy of cheta speed
mabey that would be better for an archer though?

I have never played an archer. Recently I was playing online and imported both my avenger and my stalker. Admittedly there were a few levels different - but the stalker was left wanting...

@Yshania: How about a psionic ranger/cleric with a proficiency in water cannons? j/k

Just wanted to tell you that I obtained BG today on your and Der-Draigon's advice. Look forward to playing it soon.

I'll look at the druid as a possibility...

LOL!! A psionic ranger cleric, I have met but water cannon proficiency? he didn't show me that one!

It is good to see you are giving it a go - enjoy! - a few others you know have returned to it too

You're thinking about trying a druid? *laughs* don't tell Gwally

*smiles* Except for the fact that my characters are always better looking than his, I'm sure we could find a way to come to a balance about this. Well.... maybe not in the jacuzzi environment....

I played a mage/thief through SoA and ToB and I have to say, for me personally, that I was disappointed that I couldn't melee as much as I wanted. So I will definately consider this in playing BG. The good thing was I could have more tanks, since I didn't need a thief.

LMAO! well since he is exploring the realms of Icewind Dale right now, it is unlikely you will meet to compare stats and of course, balance is in a druids nature

Melee is fun! have you decided on a class yet? and whether you will dual or not?

@GOA - let me know how you get on with your ranger

I personally haven't been playing that long but I was wondering whether or not a cleric Mage is a good idea.

I too recently went back to BG and tried a solo game, but I didn't get far before I noticed that a Bard lacks a severe amount of punch required in the early game. I can make it to Beregost even taking on the Ogre for the girdles, but I get killed by Marl, Silke, and the Huge Spiders. I'm thinking of going Cleric. But I'd really like to go witha Bard, and if you've got any input i'd be happy to hear it.

You may wanna stick with Imoen (I know I spelt that wrong) for a little while or at least until you build up in strength and then when you are ready to go on your own ditch her.
