Delete everything in your cache folder and you might want to try defragging your hard drive.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error
Program : C:\Programas\Black Isle\Baldur's Gate\BGMain.exe
Abnormal program termination

This is the error that occures! Do I eliminate only the cache folder in Baldur's game paste?! Including the data folder that is on the cache folder?! I really would like to finish this game:S

Do you have any other saves where the crash does not occur?

Can you go to lighthouse area when you start a new game?

If the answer is No it might be that the area's being copied over from your disc's are corrupted. You could try cleaning your discs or you could try getting a copy of the game from a friend if that does not work.

To find out if it is your savegame that is corrupted you should start a new game and go directly to the lighthouse area and see if it loads successfully.

If it does then we can look at possible solutions for fixing your savegame.

If it does not then I would assume the area is not being copied correctly from your cd when you install. This would be why it is not working even after a reinstall.

Try a new game first to see if that is the case. What you need to do is narrow down the reasons for the crash.
