BG 640 X 480 only?

I've been toying with the idea of playing through the complete BG saga with the same char. I have played and finished the original BG way back when it originally came out. I've long since traded in my original disks to EB and I'm sorta regretting that now. I've also played though BG II to the end but I've never played the ToB or TotSC expansions.

Anyways, what I'd like to know is if there has been any mods put out that would allow you to play BG in say a 1024 X 768 or even higher resolution. If I remember correctly, when I originally played through BG (1998? I think) I played in on my 15 inch monitor (which was pretty much standard for those days) and I'm pretty sure there was no way to play in anything other than 640 X 480.

What is holding me back now is that I'm currently using a 20 inch monitor and playing something at that low a resolution on this big a monitor is going to look absolutely terrible. (and I mean really terrible, it was ok in 1998 because most people had smaller monitors then but honestly 640 X 480 on a 20 inch monitor is really hard to look at.)

Am I remembering correctly that BG is 640 X 480 only? Or have they since patched it so that you can up the resolution?

I did a search for "BGTUTU" and ironically the only topic it found was this one

I'll try a google search maybe. Otherwise maybe you or someone else could give me more details about what "BGTUTU" is?

Did a little digging and found out where you can download this.

Just in case anyone else is considering doing what I'm going to do you can find the download page for this here: http://japh.fwstudios.net/bg1tutu/

It will be fun to revisit the sword coast but with the BGII engine.

To make it really fun I think I'm gonna do something crazy like play it in "ironman mode", meaning I'm setting the difficulty slider to D&D strictly by the rules. I'll probably also limit myself to only 3 re-rolls when making my char and I'll give myself only 1 reload for when leveling to try and get a better HP roll. Just makes the game a little bit more challenging and fun. I find I get too bored in BGII when I make the perfect party and then steam roll over every challenge in the game.
