Aldeth's Weapon Supplier (Spoilers)

Either there is a bug in the game, or Aldeth has a very good weapon supplier.
I haven't tried this before, tending to avoid pickpocketting as I play good characters. This time I pickpocketted his sword in the woods, again outside the merchant league, and he still gave me another inside. Rather more of that type of sword than I need, though the first two were useful inside the league.
Is it a bug do you think?

I was expecting to find two .cre files for Aldeth after reading your post, but only managed to find one, so it looks like a bug. A Tutu specific bug if it's a +1/+3 vs Shapechanger sword too. He doesn't carry one of those in the vanilla game, for some reason he's got a Moonblade in his quick slot in the original ToSC!!

I know he gives you the bastard sword as a reward, but that's handled differently from carried items.

Although I have Tutu installed, I was playing the vanilla game, TOSC 4DVD version.
Each time it was the Shapeshifter +3 Bastard Sword.
It certainly made dealing with the doppelgangers a bit easier, though they aren't particularly hard anyway.
