i didn't really want to use cheats, but now i'm forced: it's clear that my data are corrupted, but i won't re-explore that diabolic black mountain, with all these traps (it has been not a problem for me because i made an item to avoid them, but are always dicks), i won't re-do all the secondary boring quest, re-explore the sewer that brings to the boil, collect all the schematics, breaking my ass to make good stuff, and i won't re-obtain all the blesses and rare items that boost my stats, then, i need cheats =/
yeh, i need cheats to reach the point when the game crashed, and continue the game... i could begin a new game with another char, you may think, like a melee fighter, or a mage, but the point is that the tech way, imho, is the most creative, due to all those schematics, and i really love make stuff, then i don't want a mage that disintegrates the enemies, or a stupid obese ogre with 1337 strenght, but i just want my tech human, with my tesla gun, for which i've passed really much... please

well, i installed the patch and now the game doesn't crash, and my data are lost no longer BUT, there's something that doesn't works; here's the screenshot

i can't attack, i can't see my amno or my items, i can only trade, and when i trade things with my companions it seems to return normal, but when i close the "trading window", it turns to this new ****zord mode. I looked at the options but i couldn't fix this problem, what is it?

i've to know, so i won't use cheats; thanks

EDIT

no ok, i rebooted arcanum and now it works. The patch fixed that problems and i didn't lose any data. I need cheats no longer.

save game file is corrupted

WHY
the first game, with the dwarf failed due to a virus. The second game, with the uman failed yesterday with that message. Now the same file is corrupted, ee oooooooooooooo

then, to avoid these fuc'king bugs, what can be done? I can't play a week the game, and then see it burning in the hell after i've broken my ass making stuff and other ****. I like the game, but at this point i really need cheats as a backup, i can't continue this way =/

Have you tried installing the fanpatch? You can find it on Terra Arcanum >> the World of Troika Games .
I saw you mentioned "loading the cd image" in another post. If you're playing an illegal version, this is what might be causing it. (And, *if* (big if) so, you deserve it.

Oh man, some dejavu I've just had... This thing also occured to me. I think it is really a bad luck you have with this game. I'm afraid you need to start over and yes, install some fanpatch, it should prevent such monstrosities.

You can always use char editor to 'remake' your, uh, 'lost' one

As for the part of the game you've reached... I'll check today if I have any saves up to this point in the game, maybe I'll be able to send them to you. I hope I haven't deleted them already
