Tempus Fugit bug driving me nuts

At one point in the game I had Tempus Fugit activated while I was running around. After I was done with it, I deactivated the spell...but the graphics and sounds will not stop playing. I can handle the graphics, but the clock-ticking sound effects are driving me mad. Would anyone happen to know how I can get this to stop?
