Sailing to Thanatos

Hi I'm new here, and I am having problems with sailing to thanatos. I am doing the stringy pete's quests, but when I try to go to repair the altar for the second quest, the orge there attacks me immediately !!

If I try to buy a ship in Blackroot, I am not able to access the option to buy it from the shop owner? is it bcos i only have $23k ? Do I need to have the $50k to be able to have the choice to ask him?

What else can I do??

Are you trying to repair the altar by yourself, or did you talk to the priest near it? You need to talk to the priest, rather than fiddling with the altar.

I didn't buy a ship from a shop owner. I bought it from the dude down on the docks (the ship on the left) in Blackroot.

Actually I managed to get there by buying my own ship at 50K!! And regarding the altar, what I meant was the moment I stepped into the destination where the altar is, I would appear right next to the orge Murgo or something, and this would automatically trigger an attack from him!! Does anyone know why?
