Repeater Rifle vs. Looking Glass Rifle

Since the Looking Glass was nerfed in the last patch, it has become really weak... 20-30 damage is O.K., but it has a speed of 6! The repeater rifle on the other hand does twice as little damage, but has a speed of 19! I can fire 3 times in a round while I can fire only once with a LGR. Can someone please explain to me why is the LGR so high up the tech tree??

@fable: Twice as little damage - if a looking glass rifle makes 10 to 30 damage, then the repeater rifle makes 5 to 15 damage.

@Al: TA is still down, isn't it?

BTW, TA is still down. It will be up again in a couple of hours I think and then will be down again. How do I know that? I always visit it and its like that.

Well... When I bought Arcanum, I didn't know that GameBanshee had an Arcanum board (I havn't checked this site for at least 8 months), so I used a search engine and there it was.
Then after some time I was checking through my bookmarks and saw gamebanshee. At the same time the TA board was closed so I just started posting here.
Hope that was clear enough .
