ok, i just downloaded the Portaits from Terra-Arcanum, how do i get them in game, do i have to use the world editor?

There's a readme file in the zip that explains it. (At least, with the portraits that I downloaded from that site.) Try reading that.

i checked the file, no read-me in it, odd, it's a conspiracy! (lol just being a dingus) but seriously no readme in the file

Make a new folder named Portraits in the Arcanum\Data folder. Extract all portraits to that folder, including the userport.mes file. That should do it. If you don't have a userport.mes file, wait untill tomorrow afternoon, when I'm back home and I can dig in my files. I hope this helped.
