Need help on the alter quests

I have done all three circles but when I go to do the final one in the vendigroth ruins it just kills me I cant figure it out someone please help.

It's supposed to kill you, but the after a few seconds it should resurrect you and give you the full three circles worth of powers.

To tell the truth though I think completing only the first half of the first circle was the best.

I have to give it to ya RJ, I could never bring myself to do all of the alter quests. As Dead said, the first ring was all I thought was needed.
