Multiplayer

Who here likes the multiplayer mode of Arcanum? i have met many people who do although a great many more who don't and although i would like to make up my own mind i must go with the majority because i cannot seem to get on multiplayer for 3 reasons

1) it crashes and puts me in the middle of the sea where i cannot move

2) no one else is ever on at the same time as me so i can't experience the full multiplayer game

3) it won't let me connect to other peoples games sometimes

oh and i'll introduce myself lol i'm Krystian although my real name is Christopher everyone else calls me Chris so feel free to do the same if you wish and i believe i'm the newest person here if you wanna know more about me you can check my profile, i hope to be speaking to alot of you more often and on good terms

oh yeah sorry forgot to mention if any of you like it wanna go on multiplayer with me cos i've never been on it and i just wanna see what it's like...

I sure didn't like multiplayer in Arcanum, firstly I couldn't work out how to save, secondly I couldn't turn the game into turn based, thirdly the first monsters I faced were mechanised Archnids.

Lets explore the first thing first right?
I can't remember experimenting much when I started the game, all I know is I made a character and started walking around town with no money. It was obvious if I needed to buy items I would need gold. So I head out to fight and the first monsters outside of town I fight are three mechanised arachnids, my weapons break and I also die.

I now have to make a new character to continue playing.

The fight with the monsters ordinarily isn't that tough, the only thing is having it in real time and trying to do anything at the ridiculous fight speeds *IS*.

I don't even understand why realtime is included, much less how stupid trying to fight without being able to save.

I fought some of the most annoying and toughest monsters at level 1 or whatever I was, I imagine with multiple players it'd be better because then all of us would have died and I wouldn't have felt so bad.

yeah i s'pose that's bad anyway wander round the town get things out the bin and sell em i got 2k off doing that bought loads a bullets for my gun and then killed loads of creatures
