I'm looking for Magnus but can't seem to find him anywhere. I've had him in my party before until I was level 31 but I asked him to leave. Now I want him back for the Iron Clan quest. If anyone can tell me where he is that would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
He's not back in Tarant, in front of the Schuyler's (where you first found him)? AFAIK, all dismissed followers return to their point of origin - except for Sogg, who heads for the nearest bar.

hahaha yea, he wasn't there at all. I fast travelled to other locations so days past and I went back there again. Nothing. If he got killed by wolves or something like that on the way to Tarant I'll be damned . So do you have any ideas to where else he could be?
Very strange, although not unheard of. If you check some older threads on this forum you can find others who have had the same problem as you. Some followers seems to disappear when you tell them to wait or leave. No one seems to know what causes this problem or how to solve it. It is possible that this is a bug (since arcanum is loaded with them) and that it causes the followers to disappear from the game instead of return to their point of origin.
How long have you been waiting for him btw? I dont know about dismissed followers but if you tell them to wait most of them will remain in that area for a week or two (while the impatient Geoffrey will leave right away). I remember that when i told Magnus to leave while being in the boil he was back at schylers after a couple of days. Perhaps it takes him longer to return if you leave him far from Tarant (since walking all the way there will take a while).
Finally: You know that you dont need Magnus for the Iron Clan quest? You get some extra dialogue from having him in the party (and more still if you have Loghaire aswell) but the entire quest can be done without him (i just did, when playing an evil character on top of that).
Ahhh, okay. I think i left him in the Boil for like a couple months? So i'm guessing that i'm not gonna get him back. Well, I hope the Gangs ( or whats left of them ) "take care of him" for me, never really liked him. Just a bit too "opinionated" for my taste. It is better to remain silent and appear a foul then to speak and remove all doubt .
Also, I just wanted the "Full" experience with all the diaolgue for the quest but oh well. Thanks for the help guys.
