hey guys,

playing arcanum for a while, my fav scheme is gun tech, but if you stick to the scheme where no points are spent on strength, then he can be abit limited about what to carry (only carry about 600 before being light encumbered). In thinking of reducing the weight i have thought of wearing Magick robes, however i am unsure what may happen to my teck aligned character. Any help?
oh and thanks in advance

Each magic item will show you its effectiveness percentage on each character. If your character is high-tech, it will likely be close to zero for your character. You apply that percentage to the item-stats that are in parenthesis...

For instance, if it shows (20%) for your character and the item armor class is 10(+10), then it will only be 12 for your character, rather than 20.

The problem is that magic robes are not very effective without the magical bonus.
Actually, my last tech half-ogre wore magical leather armor until he could make the chainmail. It was worth a couple points more than non-magical leather.

Overall, it's just better to invest a few couple of points in STR. Alternativly, there's a mod out there that changes all ammo weight to zero.
