Isle of Despair

Is it possible to return to the Isle of Despair after leaving the first time?

It's been a fair while since I played the game but I'm pretty sure the answer's no. Possibly once you have your own ship it may be visitable, but I don't think so, I'm certain there's no other way though.

no..even when you get the ship... you don't have isle of despair as an option... bizarre as it may seem... the isle of thanatos can be revisited after you've finished finding nasrudin......
