I have Chukka, Dog, and Virgil and am about to head to the Elven city, and I want to pick up Raven whilst I'm there. I've never played the game with the character trate that lets you apprintise your followers before, and I was wondering what the CH to Followers ratio is?
How high will I need to rise my CH to so that I can have Raven tag along?

I think the ratio is 5 points for 1 additional follower.

yeah it's good being an educator but i choose not to pick that as my background because the penalty is -1 follower which kinda sucks

You can get her just be taking the dog or virgil off,take her and then get Virgil again.Now if my memory doesn`t betray me now then Virgil actually doesn`t mind how many chars you got on.I am pretty sure that the dog wont care much either.

I do belive that achieving the expert persuasion training also allows you to gain two extra followers

I've got 18 charisma and I have max 5 followers. Right now I've got Virgil, Dog, Chukka, Sogg Mead-Mugg, Magnus, Perriman Smythe and Jayna Styles with me. I've got expert in Persuasion, so that puts my max at 7 followers, and Dog doesn't count for sure. Working on picking up Sebastian right now, and I'll get Raven as soon as that's doable. Of course, you can't get Raven the first time you go to Qintarra.
I'm also very interested to have read that Persuasion Mastery makes it so followers don't care about your alignment when they join. I was kind of upset when I saw the follower list that I wouldn't be able to get some of the stealthier sneakier more evil people and still keep Chukka, Magnus and Raven around, so that's good news.
I do want to know what the exact charisma/follower ratio is, and whether or not there is an upper limit to it. If there isn't, I fully intend to keep raising my charisma to astronomical levels to gain a huge gang of people.

There is the higest number for all skills,and that was 25,if memory serves.At 25,you will get double,or even triple the stuff you usualy get.Heres an example:when you get dex to 12 you will gain 4 or 3 speed,instead of the usual 1.
I have never had much charisma before...so don`t know how many followers you will get then.Oh and i wanted to ask something from you,Lucien...If you got a large gang of people,don`t they get stuck between eachother?

Haven't gotten to test what the max followers is with that yet though, as I haven't happened to be in the area of anyone I want to take with me. Sebastian got himself killed and I didn't feel like redoing the fight (it was the Bedokaan Deep fight with the Cursed Paladins, which was a pain in the ass).
And no they keep themselves in pretty good order. Mostly it's annoying just keeping track of everyone's health as sometimes they aren't smart enough to heal when they should be. Not to mention keeping enough ammo on hand for Franklin and Raven.

I haven`t played Arcanum for quite a while now,sorry for the wrong number...
Anyway,i don`t like to have many members that tag along with me.The ones that i can stand and who even spice the story a little are Virgil,Raven and sometimes if i feel like taking shorter persons along then Magnus.I have tried the dog,makes the game really too easy.So really,do you think that you are the chosen one and you need help to save the world??I still only take Virgil,every time.
