Caladon prob please help

I need to get to caladon but the sailor in Ashbury wont talk to me yet so he wont take me to caladon. I've been to quintarra and then back to tarant to get the book i need to read, the curse of t'seng ang, apparently reading the book is supposed to put caladon on my world map but it hasn't.

Does anyone know why? Have i just missed something silly or if not is there a way around this problem?

Make sure you have also read the book, it is necessary. However, you can walk your way to Caladon if you have problems renting a boat(you need to find the Gorgoth pass, about at (1500W,1443S) and it can be difficult or maybe impossibile if you have never been to Caladon). I think there is another passage... Travel Ovest starting from Dernholm and you could find a little passage south the mountains that divide the two parts of the continent. I have been there once but can't remember its name. Also, there is a bridge connecting the glimmering forests to the part of continent near Caladon that should be at (1580W,1010S), but it won't appear on your world map and you will have to find it by yourself.

The book you must buy in the Tarant Library gets you info to Caladon. But you only get one chance to buy it. Otherwise you have to find Caladon yourself like the previous message said. The real curse book you can find after you get to Caladon. That book shows you how to get to Tsen-Ang.

Gorgoth pass: Start outside Wolf cave. Start your WW map. Look west for a mountain that has a ridge running down to what look like a pass. Click close to the ridge trying to set a landing point. When you get one, travel. You may stop early. If so run west in play mode until you get to a rock wall. If your lucky??? you'll find the pass but if not run south at the rock wall and you'll find Gorgoth Pass.

Caladon is on the western slope on the most southern point of that part of Arcanum.
