Let me know who you think the best chars are. My wife and I are almost done w/the first game, and want to hit the ground running with this one.

I just got it yesterday. I haven't had a chance to play with anyone except the drow elf monk, but I have to say, she seriously rocks! I'll probably start a couple of games with the barbarian and the necromancer next. From what I've seen and read, it breaks down about like this:

(1) If you are into pure melee, choose the barbarian or the monk.
(2) If you want a pure spellcaster, pick the necromancer.
(3) If you want someone who can handle a mix of spellcasting and melee, pick the cleric.
(4) If you want a sneaky, stealthy type, OR if you want to find/make the best equipment, pick the rogue.

That's about it.
Have fun, and let me know what you pick.

I just got the game myself, from what I can tell, it seriously rocks, already up to the second chapter. I picked the monk first, like her the best, barbarians fun, so are the rest of the characters. But the Monk has some cool abilities, especially with the added equipment making stuff. Plus I think depending on the script their is a different story line , For a drow monk

Spoiler

You get to increase your power by giving money to your half sister. There is probably more but I haven't played it for quite that long.

Its also real fun playing it in two player mode, I picked the monk my brother picked the barbarian. We both have only started on the first level.

The game rocks all, really fun not just hack and slash, look at it as Diablo but with more story and a two player mode.

Just got my X-box, wanted to play Halo, glad I got it now I can play BGDA II.

Plus sad as it is, the Dark Elf monk really is hot, and that was one of the factors I picked, the skimpy clothing.
