Which gems do what?

Does anyone have a list of which gems have which effects? If so, please post it here or give me a link to a website with that. I have been unable to find it, thanks.

Gems

What you should do is place the gem in a item and then hold down the R1 Button (on PS2, i dont know for Xbox), This will tell you what the effects are.

I dont have a complete list but i can tell you what i know.

The gems effect depends on what you place it in. Weapon, armor or accessory. Boots count as an accessory

Jacnith: Weapon; Fire Damage, Armor; Fire Resistance, Accessory; + Strength

Pearl: Armor; + to Item Drops/finds, Accessory; + Wisdom

Diamond: Weapon; Disrupt undead

Topaz: Accessory; + Dexterity

Aquamarine: Weapon; Cold Damage; Armor Cold Resistance

There are many other gems but these I use the most. Mainly the Jacnith and Pearl. I like to make Accessorys with these to get the + on strength, which give you better attacks, and + on Wisdom, which will give you an extra % of experience you get so you can level up quicker. Right now I'm Playing the Extreme mode and I have two rings and an amlet at +15. This gives me 100% more experience, or double the experience. This help as i am now a level 37 and its harder to level up.

Yeah, you can check the effects of the gems in the Workshop without having to buy. You'll need some cash, but you'll get it back. Here's how:
(1) Save before going to the workshop.
(2) Buy one of whatever gems you're curious about.
(3) Select an item to upgrade. Put a gem in each slot you desire (max of 3 different gems, one of which has to be a Runestone). Press and hold the R1 shoulder button. Voila! It tells you what you'll get. If you don't want it, no harm done. Just re-load from you save.
If you want to know more, Interplay has a killer forum that goes into this and other matters in detail:
http://forums.interplay.com and click the topic "Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 Tips, Tricks, and Spoilers"). Have fun!
