Question Unlocking 4th Character Drizzt Do'Urden - BG Dark Alliance

I'm trying to unlock this character and I understand you have to win the game on Extreme difficulty.

Does that mean you have to play through all the Acts and complete all the quests?

I used the debug menu to warp to the final level to kill the iron golem with a 0 experience character in order to get the Onyx sword and boost the new character to level 40. I then beat Eldrith with this character, but that didn't work. Something was saved to the configuration file after defeating her, and the game played the ending scene and credits like it does when you beat it on the other difficulties, but when I went to create a new character the ranger was still not shown as an option.

I know you can make a new Drizzt character by just holding down the Right and Left buttons on the Gamecube when making a character, but I wanted to see if there was a different character selection screen with the ranger shown as a selection.

Is there supposed to be a seperate Drizzt character shown in the new character creation menu after winning on Extreme? Or is holding the left and right buttons the only way to get him?

Does jumping to the last level and winning the game not work for unlocking Drizzt? Or did I mess up by boosting my character to level 40 with the iron golem trick? Must every act and quest be completed?

Thanks for any help.

Ok, I went through from start to finish and won the entire game on Extreme difficulty, but Drizzt still does not appear as an option on the character selection screen when starting a new game.

The only way I can get him is to hold down the Left and Right buttons while selecting a different character type. But he starts at level 16 instead of as a new character.

Please help.

It looks like I found my own answer, but I'm not sure because I've also read you can start a new Drizzit character; but it does say here that you can import him, which doesn't hold much hope as starting him as new:

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance @ GameBanshee

"If you successfully complete "The Gauntlet" within fifteen minutes, it will unlock the Extreme difficulty mode. Finish the game one more time using the new Extreme difficulty setting, and you'll be able to import Drizzt from your savegame in "The Gauntlet"."

Dang, let me know if that's wrong because I already know for a fact you can start off with him in a new game by holding L + R, the only issue is he starts off at level 16 rather than 1.

Thanks.
