Some questions

I just bought this game and already have a couple of questions. Some are skill related, some char related. Thanks in advance for replying.

1) Does the feat "Combat Reflexes" work on ranged weapons. It doesn't say it doesn't, but I am not sure. I don't feel like wasting skills on this feat when I am not using it (Dwarf Rogue: Crossbow).

2) If I gain bonus skills in the feat "Combat Reflexes" due to items, it says it can't grant me bonuses greater than 10. Is this in- or excluding the normal skills (for example, could I get 10 bonus from items and 5 from normal skills for a total of 15).

3) I read somewhere that the max enchantment for a weapon is +5. Is there a confirmation on that, or haven't people gotten enough runestones/money together to try more.

-*- POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD -*-

4) In the Bloodwire Manor, there is one door in the laboratory I couldn't open. When I first pass it, something inside says: "She's still here" and stays inside. When I get back (when the room is being poisoned), the person says: "Ah good, she's gone", or something, but then the door is locked and I can't open it.

1. I believe it does, i have 4points now and i fire much faster

2. You can put 5 skillpoints in it, and five from the gems (15gems) for a total of 10

3. +5 is the maximum. for rings you can get on hard mode to +15

4. Don't know

4) If you take a look at the map, you'll realise that it's a "dummy" door - there's no space behind it.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess I was too obsessed with the speech at the door to really look at the map

Anyway, I've been playing some more, only multiplyaer so far (will probably start singleplayer tonight) and so far it just seems too easy.
A friend is playing cleric and I am rogue and the only reason we're currently getting hurt every now and then is carelessness of our own. Hence, two questions remain.
Thanks again in advance for replying.

I don't know for sure, but:

-*- POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD -*-

1) I read on another forum that it is possible to go into extreme mode, or to switch difficulties. I don't know whether this is true, or only for the xbox game (I have the ps2), which should make the game quite a bit tougher. Anyone that knows about this?
2) Also read on another forum that finishing the game on hard releases two new characters to play. Anyone can verify this? And is it on hard, or the extreme version, which I can't seem to find.

First you have to beat the game on any difficulty level to open up Extreme Mode and one hidden character. You open up another hidden character when you beat Extreme Mode.

The extreme mode is much funner to play, even the hard difficulty is too easy.

After having done a couple of multiplayer games, I decided to try out single player. Being a big diablo barbarian fan, I decided to try it out for BG:DA2 as well. So far things are going pretty easy (although, I do think multiplayer is a lot easier then single player).
However, when in BG, every other character seems to have a money quest, apart from the barbarian. I do think I have talked to everyone, so I am not sure whether he has one, or if it appears later in the game.

I know I don't really need the exp, but there is also so much money I need.
If it does appear later in the game, just say so and I'll see it when it comes. If it is in BG, please tell me where, for I can't seem to find it.
If there isn't one, that's ok either.

Thanks in advance for replying.

And another question.
If I put damage gems in my gloves, do they count towards my weapon damage, or only if I were fighting unarmed.

Also, do skill bonuses from gloves count (such as combat reflexes, or power attack). Or again, only if I'm fighting unarmed.

Damage counts only when unarmed.
Skill do count when you use a weapon, but the skill has to be available to you.

As i found out last night thereŽs no money quest for the barbarian. But later in the game youŽll be directed to a druidŽs house, where youŽll get a special quest. You wonŽt need any money for that, but you will receive some new feats for the character and nice items.

Greetings

Macross
