please help

hi everyone,
I am playing a two-player game. In the first act, we have solved the murders quest and gotten our reward. However, the second quest, involved the red fang marauders is giving us some trouble. we've been through the camp, the dungeon, the manor, seen the woman in the red dress turn into a dragon, and escaped the burning manor.

from what i've read in walkthroughs, the old man ghost should have appeared to complete the quest when we were leaving the burning manor. this didn't happen, and now we seen to be stuck. no one will give us new missions or acknowledge that we finished the last one. we went back all the way through the manor again, and when we got to the big ballroom at the end the woman in red was standing there, motionless, speachless, like a glitch in the game.

Please, any suggestions????

The first time that you encountered the ghost, did you get the quest then, or did you slay it.
If you slew (sp?) it, that might be the problem.

If not, the ghost should appear when you're fleeing from the burning manor right before you take the exit to Baldur's Gate.

Does the quest still show in the journal. Or perhaps you've not killed all the goblins in the hidden base (the one with the cliffs).

That's about all I could think off.

Perhaps if you have an older save game, you can try inserting your characters there and play the last bit over again.

thanks a lot. actually, (silly me) i had totally forgotten who sent me on the quest in first place, the guy standing in the streets. after i spoke with him again everything got back on track. but the ghost never appeared again.

I'm having some trouble in the abandoned mine. I'm at the broken bridge over the chasm, but I can't find a way across! The map shows two branching tunnels at my end of the bridge, but all I see is nothing - I've tried walking that way, only to fall and die. I've also tried jumping the broken part of the bridge. no luck. Am I missing something?
